1948

Established Kitagawa and Company Limited for the sales of packaging materials Seinosuke Kitagawa and Sotosaburo Kitagawa assumed post of representative board members.

1954

Started selling nylon work glove

1960

Entered into injection molding business

1961

Started full operation in Higashi-Yodogawa, Osaka City

1962

Received the first order for molded relay cases

Received the first order for molded acrylic magnifier lenses

Succeeded in injection molding of plastic lenses for the first time in Japan

Focused on lenses for cameras

1963

Changed trade name to Kitagawa Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd.

1970

Established Kitagawa Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd.

1971

Established Nippon Aspherical Lens Co., Ltd.

1980

Entered the field of high-precision camera lenses and started to work on micron-order technology in full swing

1981

Opened Yasu plant in Yasu City, Shiga Prefecture

Achieved direct connection of processes of injection-molding and coating in a clean room for the first time in Japan

Succeeded in in-house processing of a mold for aspherical lens

1988

Achieved the shift to high-precision machining with 10nm processing machine

1989

Started mass-production of f-theta lenses for laser beam printers

1990

Changed corporate name to Nalux Co., Ltd.

1991

Became number-one company by sales volume in the plastic lens industry

1992

Seiichiro Kitagawa assumed post of President.

1999

Opened the Headquarters and R&D Building and Yamazaki plant in Mishima-gun, Osaka

2000

Started operation of “Subaru Telescope” of National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, for which Nalux supplied a micro lens array

2002

Established NALUX NANO-OPTICAL, INC. as marketing and sales base in USA

2003

Opened Keihanna Research Laboratory to develop glass nano-imprinting

Obtained ISO 9001 certification

2005

Obtained ISO 14001 certification

2009

Established Changzhou NALUX Optics Co., Ltd as production base in China

2011

Established NNI Co., Ltd. to commercialize glass molding and imprinting technology

2013

Signed the partnership agreement with FISBA AG

2015

Completed an extension building North Wing at Yasu Plant

2016

Obtained TS (present-day IATF) 16949 certification (Yasu Plant)

2018

Relocated Changzhou NALUX Optics Co., Ltd. to expand production

2019

Changed corporate name of Nippon Aspherical Lens Co., Ltd. to Nalux Holdings Corporation

2020

Completed an extension building East Wing at Yasu Plant

2021

Changed corporate name of NNI Co., Ltd. to Nalux Precision Glass Co., Ltd.

Established Nalux Tradings (Thailand) Co., Ltd. for expanding business in the ASEAN region

2023

Succeeded to the business of Optronics Division of COLCOAT CO., LTD. and COLCOAT (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Changed corporate name of COLCOAT(THAILAND) CO., LTD to Nalux (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
